This 7-night immersive study tour to South Korea offers teachers a unique blend of professional development and cultural discovery. With visits to local schools, educators will engage in meaningful exchanges with Korean students and teachers. The program also explores South Korea’s dynamic history, traditional heritage, and contemporary life—from the serenity of Bukchon Hanok Village to the historical significance of the DMZ.

Arrival in Korea – Welcome & Briefing

Upon arrival in Seoul, meet your program coordinator and fellow participants. Transfer to your accommodation and enjoy a welcome dinner and orientation session outlining the week’s schedule and school visit expectations.

School Engagement & Educational Experiences

Over the next three days, participants will gain insight into South Korea's highly regarded and progressive education system through a range of professional learning experiences. Activities may include school visits, classroom observations, facility tours, leadership discussions and opportunities to engage with local educators.

Experiences are designed to provide an understanding of teaching and learning practices within the Korean context while also exploring the cultural and community influences that shape education. Depending on local schedules and availability, activities may vary and may also include cultural experiences and visits to sites of educational or community significance.

Seoul Culture Day – Tradition & Modernity

 Spend a full day exploring the heart of Seoul. Visit iconic sites such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Insadong, and Dongdaemun Design Plaza.  

Day 6

DMZ Visit

Take a guided trip to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ)—a place of profound historical and political significance. Return to Seoul.

Flexible Exploration Day

Today is intentionally left flexible, giving you the opportunity to make the most of your final full day in South Korea. Your Team Leader will share a range of suggestions and ideas, and together as a group we can discuss and plan the experiences that interest you most.

Whether you would like to join fellow participants for a day of exploration, visit attractions that have caught your eye throughout the week, or simply enjoy some independent time, the choice is yours. We provide as much—or as little—support as you need, giving you the freedom to create a day that suits your interests while still having the guidance and local knowledge of your Team Leader available throughout the day.

Transfer to the airport for your departure. Depart Korea with professional insights, new international connections, and unforgettable memories.
