As my fourth Global Teacher Program, Komodo was nothing short of amazing. It was an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling week, with a good balance of sight-seeing and adventuring, collaborating in a local school and also having some relaxation and down time. The teaching team was fantastic; we made beautiful connections across the program, and both supported each other, and had so much fun. I loved my experience teaching in a local secondary school with an English Teacher, I was able to observe, and then team-teach and co-plan to support her with her personal teaching goals. We did a team-teaching Professional Development workshop with 50 local teachers, and this was a wonderful opportunity, the local teachers brought so much enthusiasm and interest in developing their practices and engaged beautifully. Alongside this, we got to sail onboard a boat for Komodo National Park, and were so lucky to have most of the destinations to ourselves. It was a phenomenal experience, trekking, snorkelling and seeing Komodo dragons in the flesh. During the week, we explored a local cave, sunset lookout locations, visiting the beautiful Melo village to learn about traditional culture and exploring the coastline. I also made the most of massages throughout. I cannot more highly recommend any of the Global Teacher programs, for the wealth of support leading up to the trip, to the program itself, after now teaching in Thailand, Bali-Lovina, Bali-Green and Komodo, it's such an amazing experience to have the privilege of travelling, engaging in local culture from a deeper perspective and contributing to global education in places that really need it, in a sustainable way.

I had an amazing first-time experience with Global Teachers in Komodo. Everything within our control was well organised by Mike from start to finish. I met so many wonderful people and enjoyed delicious food. The mix of professional learning and cultural experiences was truly inspiring. I am deeply grateful for this unforgettable journey. Thanks again Mike.

10 days in Komodo was simply not enough — I truly wanted to stay longer. This experience was so special and meaningful. I absolutely loved the teaching and how welcoming and open the local teachers were. We formed genuine bonds, and I sincerely hope this teacher training program runs again. The workshops on presenting mindfulness to teachers were incredibly powerful. They created a safe space for vulnerability, allowing teachers to share their thoughts and lived experiences. It really highlighted how important mindfulness is, not only for students but for teachers themselves. Mike, the founder of Global Teacher, was absolutely amazing to work with. His organisation, dedication, and unwavering support for everyone involved was so deeply appreciated and truly made the experience even more special. The Global Teacher team was such a beautiful group of people. I loved how we shared our experiences with one another — those moments of connection are memories I will cherish forever. I am so grateful for this experience and look forward to many more teacher training programs with Global Teacher in the future.
