Start the day with a visit to a Tokyo public elementary school. Observe classes in action, join a Q&A session with staff, and experience a traditional Japanese school lunch with students.
In the afternoon, explore cultural highlights including Asakusa’s Senso-ji Temple, the Imperial Palace, and a walk through the trendy Ginza or scenic Nakameguro. 

 Enjoy a relaxed morning or take part in an optional professional exchange. In the afternoon, experience the efficiency of Japan’s famous bullet train as you travel to Osaka. Check in and enjoy the evening at leisure. 

 Today, visit a local elementary or junior high school in Osaka. Engage with educators and observe Japan’s unique approach to teaching and student life. In the afternoon, participate in a reflection session or cultural activity designed to deepen your learning. 

Experience the timeless beauty of Kyoto with a full-day cultural immersion. Enjoy a sake brewery tour, learn about the traditional brewing process, and sample a variety of local flavours. Then, take part in a sushi-making workshop, where you’ll craft your own delicious rolls under the guidance of a local chef.  

Begin with a morning reflection and feedback circle. Then travel to Nara, home to the famous Todai-ji Temple and Nara Deer Park, where you can meet the freely roaming sacred deer.

 Spend the morning enjoying a free day in Kyoto—explore historic temples, wander through the bamboo forest, or relax in a traditional teahouse. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Tokyo together, wrapping up the program with time to reflect and relax before departures the following day. 

After breakfast, the program concludes in Tokyo. Participants can make their way to the airport or continue their travels independently. We’ll say our goodbyes and reflect on the incredible experiences and connections made throughout the program. Safe travels! 

Hi, I’m Caity, a Year 1 teacher from Adelaide with a passion for Junior Primary. I’ve lived and taught in Japan for two years, backpacked across the country, and have visited every destination on our itinerary multiple times. My career has also taken me to London as Head of Arts, to Abu Dhabi as a nanny, and even to royal families as a FIFO nanny. I’m TESOL certified, hold UK Qualified Teacher Status, and when I’m not teaching I love baking, reading, and playing Zelda. I can’t wait to share Japan — one of my favourite places in the world — with you on this incredible adventure. Before then, I’ll also be leading our Philippines Study Tour in September 2025!
